    How to See a Doctor

    1. Tell them you are "Self-Pay": Since Zion has no network, always ask for the "Cash/Self-Pay" rate. This is often 30–50% cheaper than the insurance rate.

    2. Pay your IUA: You are responsible for the first portion of an eligible medical "need" ($1,250, $2,500, or $5,000 depending on your plan).

    3. Submit the Bill: Upload an Itemized Bill (HCFA or UB-04 form) to your portal. Zion will either pay the provider directly or reimburse you.

    • 24/7 Care (Care Station): Accessible via the Medi-Share app or portal.

      • Call for: $0 virtual visits with board-certified doctors and 24/7 nurse advice.

    While you can technically see any doctor, Medi-Share encourages using the PHCS PPO Network to maximize discounts for the community.

    Pre-Notification: For any non-emergency surgery, hospitalization, or pregnancy, you must pre-notify Medi-Share at least 7 days in advance to ensure the need is eligible for sharing.

    • This is where you track your AHP progress and view your sharing history.

    The Medi-Share App: Download on the App Store or Google Play.

    • Use the app to pray for other members, see your digital ID card, and access 24/7 telehealth.
